Feeding Amount Based on Weight
Always speak with your pediatrician or lactation consultant before following feeding recommendations
Hint: To calculate amount per feeding, simply divide the required amount by the number of feedings per day.
Example:
-
If your baby weighs 5.04 pounds and eats 10 times per day (24 hour time period), take the required amount according to the chart below of 14 ounces and divide it by 10 (daily number of feeds). Your baby will need to consume approximately 1.4 ounces of milk per feeding.
